Since the full scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has bombed 3,798 educational institutions, with 365 completely destroyed. In April 2025, a missile struck a children’s playground in Kryvyi Rih, killing nine children.
In frontline cities such as Pavlohrad and Kryvyi Rih, children walk through the school gates and go straight underground. Lessons take place in basements because of constant missile and drone attacks.
We have received urgent appeals from workers at a school in Pavlohrad and from the Mining Electromechanical College in Kryvyi Rih for essential aid to keep education going in these conditions.
Your support will provide vital resources that allow children to continue learning safely. Ukraine’s young people deserve the chance to learn in safety and to grow up with hope.
Teachers, support staff and their unions are doing everything they can, but the needs far exceed what local communities can meet alone in face of invasion.
Please help by donating to our appeal.
