TRADE UNION LEADERS FROM AROUND THE WORLD CALL FOR A VETO ON THE DRAFT LAW NO 5371 –

The Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine initiated a worldwide campaign to sign a petition against introduction of the draft law No 5371.

A petition to this effect has already been posted on the LabourStart website and is gaining support from trade unionists around the world. After a person leaves his/her signature, a letter calling for the draft law to be vetoed – to prevent blatant violation of workers’ rights and international standards – is sent is sent to the President’s Office email, to the Government and to the Parliament.

We call on trade unions from all countries to join and sign this petition to draw attention to the need to stop this ruinous law!

PRESIDENT OF UKRAINE HAS ALREADY RECEIVED MORE THAN 4,000 LETTERS FROM TRADE UNIONS AROUND THE WORLD

The international campaign against introduction of draft law No 5371, initiated by the FPU, has been going on for only two days.

Relevant petition is posted on the LabourStart website, which is used by trade union members from all over the world. After a person leaves his/her signature under the petition, a letter with an appeal to veto the draft law and prevent flagrant violation of workers’ rights and international standards is sent to the mailbox of the Office of the President, to the Government, and to the Parliament of Ukraine.

In two days, the campaign attracted attention of more than 4,000 trade union leaders from different countries of the world!
