AMKR workers decided to start collective labour dispute.

We republish below a short news report by the RKD (‘workers committee of Dnepropetrovsk’) on the growing dispute in Krryvyi Rih.  

AMKR workers decided to start collective labour dispute.

At 2 of April administration  of PJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih” presented an official  response to the demands put forward to the employer at the conference of [the workers]  the enterprise’s labor collective of March 27, 2018.

In this response the employer did not meet the demands put forward by the workers. Nor the request for documents by the workers, which is said is not required by current labour law.  At that time employer decided to not give to workers his social-economic reasons of this decision, but according to the law he must within a three-day period give them the social-economic justification for the  decision.

This is why on the same day a meeting of the PJSC “AMKR ”  workers representatives elected at their conference and authorised to represent their interests, the head of the trade union committee of the PMSU PJSC “AMKR” Natalia Marinyuk was elected its head. On considering the response of the management of PJSC “AMKR”  to the demands of workers, put forward at the conference of the labor collective, took a unanimous decision to enter into a collective labor dispute with the employer.

Written notification of the decision was sent to the management of PJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih “, Dnepropetrovsk Regional State Administration, the executive committee of the Krivoy Rog City Council and the office of the National Mediation and Reconciliation Service in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
