British miners in solidarity with Ukrainian miners

A joint trade union congress of Miners of Ukraine took place in Kyiv on 21 April. In attendance was a delegation from the National Union of Mineworkers in solidarity with the struggle of the Ukrainian miners – Wayne Thomas Vice President of the NUM attended alongside Executive member Karl Parkinson.

The NUM have been at the forefront in setting an example to our Trade Union movement in providing real solidarity with our brothers and sisters of the Ukrainian labour movement, visiting Ukraine twice since March to actually establish the facts of the situation.
