On Saturday 22 February 2025, just before the third anniversary of the full-scale invasion, a coalition of Ukrainian community and UK labour movement organisations will be marching to the Russian embassy in London for a protest and rally in support of Ukraine.

Assemble 12 noon – St Volodymyr statue, W11 3QY

Rally 1pm – Russian embassy, W8 4QP

  1. is a pro Ukraine demonstration planned in the days leading up to Trump and Putin meeting in Alaska. Surely need a big turnout to ask Trump to do the right thing and stand up to Putin.

  2. It might be more a case of pressuring Trump out of doing the wrong thing! You’re right but it’s a bit difficult to organise at this notice, particularly at this time of year – realistically we’d need to do on Thursday 14th, which is now only three days away. We’ve discussed a bit among friends and allies and the consensus seems to be to wait to see what comes out of Friday and then potentially organise a protest in London after that. It’s not ideal, but…
